Srinivas (Sivaji Raja) and Padmavathi (Rathi) meet as strangers while traveling from Vijayawada to Hyderabad. Incidentally they happen to work in the same place. They face problem of accommodation as nobody is willing to rent their places out for singles. Hence they decide to act as husband and wife in order to rent a house. They live together as roommates. The rest of the story is all about how they get close to each other and fall in love.This film is about a man and a woman who are forced to live together in guise of husband and wife. Such a film with 90% of the scenes focusing on two people needs tremendous screenplay and exceptionally good narrative skills. But the old-fashioned direction and unimaginative screenplay became a hindrance.
